Meher Vij also known as Vaishali Sahdev is an Indian film and television actress known for Secret Superstar (2017), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015) & Jahaan Chaar Yaar (2022).
She was born as Vaishali Sahdev on June 7, 1986 in New Delhi, India. Her brothers Piyush Sahdev and Gireesh Sahdev are also actors.
She was first seen in a cameo role of a nurse in the movie Saaya (2003) starring John Abraham & Tara Sharma. After that, she was seen in the movie Lucky: No Time for Love (2005) starring Salman Khan & Sneha Ullal.
Meher made her television debut in Stree Teri Kahani (2006). After that she went on to work in many TV shows like Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008), Ram Milaye Jodi (2010), Yeh Hai Aashiqui (2013) & Kesariya Balam Aavo Hamare Des (2014).
She met actor Manav Vij on the sets of "Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil" in 2008 and they fell in love with each other. The couple got married on July 5, 2009 and she changed her name from Vaishali Sahdev to Meher Vij based on her on-screen character 'Meher Juneja' in the TV show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (2008-10).
In 2015, she played the role of Munni's (Harshali Malhotra) mother in the Salman Khan starrer 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'.
Meher Vij's breakthrough in bollywood came in musical drama film Secret Superstar (2017), in which she played the role of Zaira Wasim's mother. She won the Best Supporting Actress award at Filmfare Awards, IIFA Awards, Zee Cine Awards & Star Screen Awards for her acting in the movie.
Her brother Gireesh Sahdev is married to Priyanka Bajaj & Piyush Sahdev was married to actress Akangsha Rawat but they got got separated in mid-2017.
