Siddharth Bedi (January 10, 1972 - July 19, 1997) was the son of actor Kabir Bedi and Protima Bedi. He committed suicide in 1997, at the age of 25, after being diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Siddharth Bedi suffered from extreme depression that led him to a serious disease like Schizophrenia.
He had 2 siblings: Pooja Bedi and Adam Bedi.
He was a brilliant student and he had graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with Honours.
Siddharth's last email was for his friends in which he wrote, 'Come and give me the farewell'.
After his death, Kabir Bedi revealed in an interview that Siddharth once told him that he will commit suicide one day. But he could not do anything to stop him from committing suicide.
Siddharth Bedi was offered the movie Bekhudi (1992) by director Rahul Rawail but he declined the offer because he was not interested in becoming an actor. This offer occurred when Saif Ali Khan was dropped from the movie. Kamal Sadanah was selected for the role after Siddharth Bedi declined the offer.
