Mrunal Thakur is an indian actress known for Love Sonia (2018), Super 30 (2019), Batla House (2019) and Jersey (2022). She was born on August 1, 1992 to Udaysing Bhatesing Thakur and Vandana Thakur in Dhule, Maharashtra, India. Mrunal Thakur has an elder sister Lochan Thakur, a Makeup Artist and a younger brother Mandar Thakur.
Her father, Udaysing Bhatesing Thakur worked as Assistant General Manager at Union Bank of India.
She did her schooling at Navin Marathi Shala, Shrirampur, St. Joseph's Convent School, Jalgaon and Vasant Vihar High School, Mumbai. After that she did Bachelor of Mass Media from Kishinchand Chellaram College, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
While attending college, She signed for lead role as Gauri Bhonsle in TV serial Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan (2012).
In 2015, she participated in the dance reality TV show "Nach Baliye 7" with Sharad Chandra Tripathi.
In 2018, Mrunal Thakur was cast in Indo-American film "Love Sonia" after a year long search of over 2,500 girls. The film was a box-office success and Mrunal received critical acclaim.
After watching her performance in Love Sonia (2018), Aamir Khan offered her a role in his movie Thugs of Hindostan (2018) but she rejected the offer but she did not wanted to sign a three-film contract with Yash Raj Films.
In 2019, She starred in Vikas Bahl's "Super 30" opposite Hrithik Roshan and in "Batla House" opposite John Abraham. Both of the films were commercially successful.
