Errol Moore is a reggae singer, composer, songwriter, and guitarist best known for being the father of actor-singer Shameik Moore. He is a former band member of the popular reggae music band "Monyaka". 3 | |

Errol Moore was born and raised in Whitfield Town in Kingston, Jamaica. In 1972, he moved to Brooklyn, New York with his mother and shortly after joined the reggae music band Monyaka. Errol wrote, arranged, and produced some of the band's most popular songs including Go Deh Yaka (Go To The Top), Street People (It Ain't Easy), and Reggaematic Funk. 7 | |
As a guitarist, he worked with many of the major reggae artists including Maxi Priest, Inner Circle, Israel Vibration, Sister Carol, The Congos, Marcia Griffiths, Judy Mowatt, The Burning Spear, Dennis Brown, Toots & the Maytals, Black Uhuru, Sly & Robbie and Beres Hammond. 8 | |
In 1988, his first solo single "Never Lock Me Out" was released on Epic Records. He released his first album "It's Time" in 2003, the album had 15 melodious songs and was released by Bad Newz Entertainment. His second album "Let Love In" was released in 2009. | |
In June 2015, he released his third album "Good Morning Jah" and his fourth album "A Long Way" was released in July 2022. |
