Paes is regarded as one of the greatest tennis players in doubles and he is a 18 Time Grand Slam Champion in Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles categories, 7 Time Olympian, Singles Olympic Medal Winner. Paes was born on June 17, 1973 to Vece Paes and Jennifer Paes in Calcutta, West Bengal, India. Both of his parents were renowned athletes. His father, Vece Paes was a Sports Medicine Doctor and was also the part of the bronze medal winning Indian hockey team at the 1972 Munich Olympics but he did not received a medal medal because he didn't played in any of the matches and his mother Jennifer Paes led the Indian basketball team in the 1980 Asian basketball championship. | |
