Sohail Khan is an Indian actor, director, producer & writer. He was born on December 20, 1970 to writer Salim Khan and his wife Sushila Charak in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has 2 elder brothers, Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan & an elder sister, Alvira Khan Agnihotri and an adopted younger sister, Arpita Khan Sharma.
He started his career as a director in Auzaar (1997), starring his brother Salman Khan, Sanjay Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty. After that he directed his brothers Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan in the movie Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998) alongside Kajol and Dharmendra. It was huge success at the box-office.
After that Sohail again directed his brothers Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan in the movie Hello Brother (1999) but this movie could not create any magic at the box-office.
In 2002, he made his acting debut in Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002) along with another debutante, Sameera Reddy. The film was also directed, produced, written by Sohail Khan and did average business at the box office.
His most successful movie as an actor is Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? (2005) in which he co-starred with his brother Salman Khan and actress Katrina Kaif.
Sohail Khan met Seema Sachdev at one of their common friend's party. After dating for a few years, they got secretly married in 1998.
Son Nirvan Khan was born in December 15, 2000 and Yohan Khan was born on June 16, 2011 through IVF surrogacy.
In 2017, there were rumours of Seema and Sohail's separation. According to reports, she had moved out of their Bandra house and shifted to her parent’s home in Cuffe Parade. Alleged affair between Sohail and Huma Qureshi is said to be the reason behind it.
In 2020, he purchased Lanka Premier League team Kandy Tuskers.
On May 13, 2022, Sohail Khan and Seema Sachdev filed for divorce in a family court in Mumbai. The couple has been married for 24 years but were living separately since 2017.
His ex-wife Seema Sachdev is Chunky Pandey's niece and was once engaged to Bobby Deol's wife Tanya Deol's brother Vicky Ahuja.
Sohail Khan was in a relationship with actress Pooja Bhatt in 1995. At that time Pooja Bhatt was an established actress and Sohail was just starting his career as a director. However, the relationship did not last long as Sohail Khan went on to marry Seema Sachdev in 1998 and Pooja Bhatt married Manish Makhija in 2004. 2

He dated actress Manisha Koirala in 1994.
Rahul Rawail considered Sohail Khan for the lead role in Bekhudi (1992) but finally the role went to Kamal Sadanah.

In 2012, Sohail Khan was in a controversy when his driver, Dhananjay Pimple accidentally mowed down a 70 years old woman. The victim, Chandra Bala, succumbed to her injuries while on the way to the hospital.
He worked in Laparwah (1981) starring Mithun Chakraborty, Ranjeeta Kaur & Prema Narayan as a child artist at the age of 11.
Sohail wanted to become a pilot but couldn't pursue it because of his eyesight problem.
