Shanzay Hayat is a Pakistani model, beauty pageant title holder, fashion entrepreneur, and interior designer. She was born on 1 December 1989 into a Sunni Muslim family in Islamabad, Pakistan.
Shanzay has a younger sister named Myra Hayat. 2
Hayat attended Islamabad Convent School (1994-1998), Overseas Pakistanis Foundation School (1999-2003), and Sheikh Zayed International School (2004-2005) in Islamabad, Pakistan. She then moved to Saudi Arabia, where she studied at the Jeddah International School (2004-2005) in Jeddah. Afterward, she moved to the United States and completed her schooling at the Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart (2005-2006) in Bellevue, Washington. 3
She did an O Level and A Level course in business at Methodist College Belfast (MCB) in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She then studied Business Administration at the University of Washington. Later in 2016, she did a short course in Real Estate at the Rockwell Institute in Washington DC. 3
In 2013, Shanzay Hayat participated in the Miss Pakistan beauty pageant held in Mississauga, Canada, and was crowned as Miss Pakistan World 2013. Additionally, she won the Miss Popularity sub-contest during the pageant. 4
She represented Pakistan in the Miss Grand International 2013 pageant (Top 20) in Bangkok, Thailand, as well as at the Miss Asia Pacific 2014 pageant in Seoul, South Korea, where she made it to the Top 15 and also won the Miss Grand Dance sub-title. 5
Shanzay Hayat was sent to represent Pakistan in the Miss Earth 2014 pageant held in Manila, Philippines, after Aatka Feroz opted out of it due to other commitments.
In 2014, she appeared in “Changezi, Dancer Among Shadows”, a documentary film about an unconventional male dancer named Changu Changezi from a small conservative town in Pakistan. 6
