Naturi Naughton is an American singer, songwriter and actress known for being the part of the girl group group 3LW (3 Little Women) from 1999-2002 and playing the role of rapper Lil' Kim in the movie Fame (2009) and Notorious (2009).
She was born on May 20, 1984 to Ezra Naughton and Brenda Naughton in East Orange, New Jersey, United States.
Her father, Ezra Naughton is a retired accountant originally from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.
Her mother, Brenda Naughton is a part-time paralegal originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, United States.
She did her schooling from St. Joseph's Catholic School and Immaculate Conception High School in Montclair, New Jersey. Then she majored in Political Science from Seton Hall University, New Jersey.
In 1999, Naturi Naughton along with Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams formed the group 3LW. She was 15 years old at that time.
3LW released their first single "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)" in 2000. After its success they released their second single, "Playas Gon' Play" in 2001.
In August 2002, Naturi Naughton announced that she was no longer a member of the group and claimed that the other two girls and their management had forced her out. Naturi had a heated argument with Kiely Williams and Adrienne Bailon and their manager, which allegedly ended with Kiely throwing a hot plate full of KFC food at Naturi. Naturi was replaced by Jessica Benson in the group.
In 2011, she played the role of Bunny Brenda in the tv series The Playboy Club (2011).
Naturi gave birth to daughter Zuri on July 19, 2017 with her boyfriend Ben. She ended her relationship with Ben just three months after the baby was born. She wrote a song about her split titled "Stay Too Long". She sings, "Three months after the baby was born, your love for me was gone. How could you flip the script on me?…Love makes you foolish and stay way too long".
On April 2, 2022 Naturi Naughton tied the knot with entrepreneur Xavier "Two" Lewis in a lavish wedding at St. Regis Buckhead, Atlanta, Georgia.
