| Abram was born on 27 May 2013 through surrogacy at Nanavati Hospital in Vile Parle, Mumbai. He was born prematurely in the 34th week of pregnancy, weighing only 1.5 kg at the time of birth, so he was shifted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital for special care and spent a substantial amount of time there. Meanwhile, the Khans faced a backlash after some reports wrongly suggested that they had undergone a sex determination test. On 9th July 2013, Shah Rukh Khan issued a press statement to formally announce the birth of his youngest son.
